Masked Gang Drags Mohammed Fuseini From Car in Violent Belgium Robbery

Ghana international and Royal Union Saint-Gilloise forward Mohammed Fuseini is recovering after a violent robbery in Brussels, Belgium, where a group of hooded attackers allegedly dragged him from his vehicle before stealing several valuable items.

Belgian police have since arrested a suspect as investigators continue looking into the brazen daytime attack.

Hooded Gang Targets Footballer

According to Belgian media reports, the incident happened on Sunday near the Bloody Louis nightclub in central Brussels.

Fuseini was reportedly sitting inside his parked car when five masked men surrounded the vehicle. The attackers allegedly pulled the 24-year-old from the driver’s seat, placed him in a chokehold and stole two iPhones, his wallet and a Rolex Datejust valued between €8,000 and €14,000.

One of Fuseini’s teammates reportedly captured part of the incident on video. Police are now reviewing the footage as part of the investigation.

Club Confirms He Has Returned to Training

Royal Union Saint-Gilloise confirmed that Fuseini received medical treatment shortly after the attack.

Doctors later discharged the Ghanaian international after determining that his injuries were not serious. He returned to training with the Belgian champions on Monday.

The club also thanked Brussels police for their swift response and support following the incident.

Police Arrest Suspect

The Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that officers arrested a 23-year-old suspect after carrying out a search of his home.

Investigators recovered several items believed to have been stolen during the robbery. Authorities charged the suspect with theft with violence committed by a gang and placed him under an arrest warrant.

Prosecutors are also investigating whether the robbery is linked to two similar attacks involving victims returning to their vehicles in Brussels.
